Information You Submit
Names, phone numbers, or addresses entered in a search form go to the outside provider that supplies the results. We do not save a separate copy of those searches on our servers. A direct message gives us the information you choose to send, which we use to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary logs containing an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate use helps maintain the service and identify useful content. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those functions apply.
How Information Is Used
Limited visitor data supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content improvements. We neither sell a visitor list nor assemble individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to Snohomish County and Washington portals, libraries, official records offices, and outside search services. Information entered after following a link is controlled by that destination's policy. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a separate company with its own practices.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support vendors process technical logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information already described. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; we do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Safeguarding Your Information
An encrypted connection protects data in transit. Server logs are retained only for the operational needs described above. Since this service has no visitor accounts, it does not hold an account password or personal profile for you.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. Contact us if you believe someone under 18 submitted such data so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights to access, correct, withdraw consent for, or delete certain personal data depend on the information and applicable law. Washington's My Health My Data Act, chapter 19.373 RCW, provides specific rights for covered consumer health data, including access and deletion, but excludes publicly available government and media information from that definition. We can check our contact mailbox and technical logs in response to a request made through the Contact page. Records held by Snohomish County, Washington agencies, courts, or other custodians are beyond our control, so correction or removal requests must go to the responsible office.
Policy Revisions
A revised policy will be posted here when our practices change. Continued use after publication indicates acceptance of the updated version.
